Overview:

Founded in 1971, Laser Technology (JIGUANG JISHU, JGJS) is a bimonthly academic publication issued publicly at home and abroad, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology (the former State Science and Technology Commission), governed by China North Industries Group Corporation Limited. Laser Technology is included by Chinese Core Journals (TN category: radio, electronics and telecommunications) and Key Magazine of China Technology (Chinese Science and Technology Papers and Citations).

 

Aim and Scope:

Laser Technology is an academic and technical journal that integrates both theory and practice. It emphasizes reporting on the research achievements and application progress of laser technology and related disciplines in various fields such as national defense, industry, information, communication, agriculture, biology, medicine, and economic construction in China. The journal closely monitors the advancements in high and new technology and the dynamics of pioneering new fields both domestically and internationally. It primarily publishes innovative academic papers and insightful review articles on new materials, new processes, new technologies, new components, and innovative engineering applications in the fields of optics and electronics related to laser technology at different stages of development, both domestically and internationally. The journal aims to document, promote, publicize, and exchange the achievements of laser technology research, development, and application in China, providing the latest information in real-time for scientific research, teaching, production, and application in the country.

Awards:

Laser Technology won the fifth "Excellent Periodical Award" of the former Ministry of Machinery and Electronics in 1985, the "Layout Quality Award" of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics in 1989, the "Layout Design Award" of the 1st Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Periodical Evaluation in 1990, the "Layout Quality Award" of the Science and Technology Periodical of China National Corporation of Weapons Industry in 1991, and the "Editing and Processing Award" of the 2nd Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Periodical Evaluation in 1993. In 1996, it was awarded the "Second Prize of Excellent Periodicals" by China National Ordnance Industry Corporation. In 1999, it was awarded the "First Prize of Technical Quality Periodicals" by Sichuan Province. In 2008, it was awarded the Second Prize of China National Ordnance Industry Corporation's Excellent Technical Periodicals Award. In 2021, it was selected for the World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report (2020 Science and Technology Edition). In 2022, it was selected for the Hierarchical Catalogue of High-quality Scientific and Technological Periodicals in Optical Engineering and Optical Field.
